About Adriana

Biography:

Raised alongside the beautiful canopy oaks of Tallahassee, Florida, I grew up running up and down the soccer field, but quickly realized running was my true passion. I started running competitively in 6th grade and competed at a Varsity level all throughout high school at Maclay School. I  went on to Duke University graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2011 with a B.A. degree in Psychology and a Markets and Management Certificate. Following graduation, I decided to pursue my M.S degree in Sports Psychology from Florida State University, where I graduated with a published thesis in the spring of 2013. Fast forward to now, where I qualified and competed at the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials and am  living in Winston-Salem, NC and working as a Health and Wellness Coach at Wake Forest University. I have found my love for competitive running again and my passion to help others has brought me the purpose I have so desperately been searching for. In the 4 years that I spent training for the Olympic Trials, I encountered countless setbacks, failures, and disappointments, but it was through these failures that I learned the most about myself. I know that chasing big dreams is what makes me feel most alive and I can only hope that I have the opportunity to continue to do what sets my soul on fire.
